Harvested in the south of Lebanon, their sumac is made only from the hull of the sumac seeds. It’s a process, yes, but it makes their sumac considerably more potent and flavourful than products produced from whole ground seed. The tangy flavour and citrus undertones of sumac make it perfect as a rub for grilled meats, fish, vegatables, and a lovely addition to salad dressings. It is a necessary ingredient in a fattoush salad.
