Yay for Earth partnered with Olive Odyssey - a Palestinian collective dedicated to sharing the rich heritage of Palestinian farmers and their generational farms. Palestine has some of the oldest olive trees that produce the most nutrient dense olive oil in the world, with original variety trees dating back to 4,000 years ago. Some families have trees passed down for generations! Olive trees are a powerful symbol of the deep connection and care that Palestinians have with their land and their culture. The heart of Palestinians and the roots of the olive tree have been intertwined for thousands of years. Since the brutal occupation, the olive tree and its strong roots symbolize resistance and resilience for the people of Palestine.
Each jar is 2 oz. By purchasing a jar, you support each farmer, their livelihoods and their land. With every lotion, you will receive a farmer's card to get to know the individual farmer that created the olive oil in your jar.
With your purchase we will be donating $10 per jar to The Sameer Project, which is a Palestinian run initiative supporting families who were displaced by the Nuseirat Massacre. All donations go to facilitating help for these displaced families in forms of tents, cash aid, water, medical support, and even Eid projects. Since the Rafah invasion, they have provided 365+ tents. Since they are Palestinian run, they have trust on the ground and unique relationships that allow them to give help where others cannot.
